Can I use NeedleNote only for stencil printing?
Yes — many Pro artists live in Stencil Hub. You can create standalone stencils, print, and attach a client later. The rest of NeedleNote Artist is there when you want the full history.
Do I need a client before creating a stencil?
No. Open Stencil Hub → New Stencil and begin. Attach a client or Tattoo Project later without resetting print settings.
Can I create clients during consultations?
Yes. New Consultation lets you create a client inline and keep planning in the same flow.
What is a Tattoo Project?
The ongoing home for a complete piece — references and every session together. Built for sleeves, backs and multi-sitting work.
What's the difference between a Consultation and a Tattoo Project?
A Consultation plans the tattoo. A Tattoo Project keeps the complete piece and its sessions together. Planning first; project when the piece is confirmed.
Do I own my data?
Yes. Your records are yours.
Can I export my information?
Yes — export of your own information is part of the product promise. Tooling continues to improve.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Apple manages subscriptions. Cancel in App Store subscription settings.
What happens if I downgrade?
Existing history remains viewable and exportable. Future creation limits and Pro tools follow your confirmed plan. Records are not held hostage.
Does NeedleNote work offline?
Yes. Local-first. Cloud sync is optional and currently covers client and session details — a protected copy, not a full backup of every record yet.
What plans include Stencil Hub?
Pro (and future tiers that include Pro capabilities).
Can apprentices use NeedleNote?
Yes. Free is enough to learn the workflow. Upgrade to Pro when you need Stencil Hub and NeedlePrint.
Can I restore purchases?
Yes. Use Restore Purchases with the Apple ID that bought the plan.
Can I use multiple devices?
Sign in and sync. Restore purchases on each device under the same Apple ID when needed.
Will Android come?
iOS is the focus for commercial launch. Android remains on the longer roadmap — no fake ship date.
Where do I cancel?
Apple Manage Subscription / App Store settings — not a fake cancel flow inside the app.
